Hi, Spring fans! Welcome to another exciting installment of _This Week in Spring_! I'm writing this from lovely Oslo, Norway, for the joyous JavaZone conference. Next, I'm going to Amsterdam for the interesting IntelliJ IDEA conference, and then finally it's off to Kansas City for the kinetic KCDC show! It's a conference rush, and I'm 100% here for it. I'm also here for the amazing community, whose vibrant, endless feed of content sustains me and this very roundup. So, without further ado, let's dive right in.
- I thought this was a very nicely done chart. I don't know that I agree with all of the prescriptions or the timelines, but I do love it as a first cut as a guide to concepts to learn to learn "Spring."
- this is an interesting comparison looking at the difference between Apache Kafka and RabbitMQ.
- Spring Modulith 2.2.M1, 2.1.1, 2.0.8, and 1.4.13 are released
- a few weeks ago I started a series on building multitenant systems with Spring Security, OAuth, and the Arconia multitenancy modules
- I continued that series, showing how to carve up data in a multitenant system, in this video
- in last week's installment of _A Bootiful Podcast_, I chatted with my friend Joe Grandja, guru on all things Spring Security and OAuth
- a nice writeup from Rodolfo Mendes on a session by Yuriy Bezsonov on building Spring AI-powered AI agents.
- Baeldung has a nice post on using Anthropics' Claude models with Spring AI
- and yet another amazing installment of Craig Walls' Spring AI recipes - this one looking at efficient tool reuse
- and yet another amazing installment, again, of Craig Walls' Spring AI recipes on how to get better search results with Spring AI and hybrid search
- and another still! This one on better RAG results with re-ranking in Spring AI
- just when you thought I was done with Craig's amazing content... _another one_! This one on better RAG results with hypothetical document embeddings
