As it grows, Notion gives him a space to store everything he needs to keep track: 1. Expenses Tracker: For heavier calculations, Alec feeds Square POS reports (a digital summary of how much a business is making) to have AI automatically work out expenses and profits. He calls this “a lifesaver.” 2. Receipts-to-Notion: Alec would take a picture of a receipt and using Notion API, Claude reads and extracts the items and adds it into the expenses database. A receipt image is also stored as a backup. Whenever there would be a new event to prepare, Alec doesn’t start anew. He’s built a repeatable event template that connects with notes, meetings, campaign board, and expenses so he can find all the information he needs in one place. Notion allows a solo founder to do the work of a 5-person team.
