i think we're forgetting that most people would rather pay premium for a streamlined solution rather than tinker... i have friends who are amazing devs & still pay HEAVY money to developers if you sell to wealthy people - the question isn't "can i do something myself", it's "is it worth my time" this "SaaS is dead" narrative is trending because indie hackers sell moatless products to other indie hackers and you know, indie hackers tend to play w/ AI & for the most part are not well off financially - per

this is great advice, i can recall tweeting about this before & it's something i whole-heartedly believe you should live by if you're a beginner... you learn how to solve problems by first offering the solution as a manually delivered service (p.s. it's infinitely easier to sell a service than software + you can charge higher prices) you familiarize yourself with the problem on a very deep level & ONLY THEN you consider productizing the solution in a repeatable format like software you'll never understan
