I’m not an expert on the topic but here’s an analogy: Software used to be much more expensive to build. With AI, everyone agrees writing code and building software is easier and cheaper. This means it’s more justified to build small tools or solve problems that weren’t worth solving before. More iterations, more solutions, more routes and directions. Same thing with drug development. More routes, more candidates, more shots on goal. The biggest gains are in discovery. AI won’t skip clinical trials, but it’ll make sure we’re running the right ones.
