With a Mac Mini and Personal Computer, you get to have the ambient software-hardware integration running in your home, but accessible on any interface (phone) to invoke. A lot of people wanted AI-native hardware. But what actually matters is a great orchestra conductor. That orchestrates all devices, apps, models. Continually evolves as you keep using it with better understanding of you and your workflows. And something that you can talk to any interface you like on *existing* hardware interfaces (phones, watches, glasses, etc). It feels a lot clearer now. There's still a lot of work to be done on the continual learning / evolution part. As well as moving some subagents (eg: voice dictation, private data like messages/photos/home sensors) to running locally, orchestration loop running locally, etc. But the vision is clear. We will have hybrid local-server compute. We want orchestration. Not new form factors. And the Personal Computer from Perplexity aims to deliver on this vision.
