Last time I tried, image generation was pretty bad at imagining UI designs, but this new model is actually fairly competent. I prompted it to generate a UI based on a mockup I found online, then fed that image into Codex to implement the HTML and CSS. It worked surprisingly well. Maybe not the most token-efficient method for iterating on designs, but it’s definitely a viable approach. Edit: oh, maybe I should finish the video lmao.

Now let me ask you this: why in the hell would you want AI to produce images for you when they are going to keep all of the rights to use those images? Unless they can be commercially sold to you for you to use in your own projects or in your company, which would mean that you have to pay ChatGPT for the commercial license to use their images. What's the point of that? You might as well tell someone in fivver to do them for you and to provide you with the source file so that you own your image.

but can it generate a completely full glass of wine? for a long time this has been a known limitation. models almost always default to a “realistic” half-filled glass because that’s what dominates training data. Edit: I just tried, and yes it can! That implies they are making good progress on out-of-distribution tasks. time to revisit all your assumptions of image gen limitations.
